Husqvarna’s robotic lawn mowers have been mowing around in gardens for over 30 years. But their existence is still vastly unknown.
Speaking of robots, there is one very famous; the Mars Curiosity Rover. Spending over 10 years on Mars, sent there by NASA to photograph the vast martian landscapes and collect earth samples.
And it gets quite lonely up there.
So to showcase Husqvarna’s innovative spirit and pay hommage to the Mars Curiosity Rover we created an update that reprogrammed the alarm-modules of the lawn mowers so that they could sing happy birthday, all at once, all over the world, celebrating the 10th birthday of the loneliest robot in the universe.
The update left people with a few tear drops down their cheeks and sparked interest around Husqvarna and robotic lawn mowers like never before.
And yes, we had to give NASA a phone-call and get this campaign approved by them.
